Abstract
Growth analysis is gaining its popularity in crop sciences. In the rice plant, as in other crops, the analysis is a powerful tool for the understanding of grain productivity (1). In the case of growth analysis dry matter production is conventionally considered as a balance between photosynthesis and respiration; photosynthesis and respiration are interpreted as gain and loss to dry matter production, respectively. Keywords
