Abstract
Magnetic measurements of the twist viscosity in 24 nematic liquid crystals as a function of temperature show that the activation energy is 5.5 + 0.5 × 103 K; it does not depend strongly on the nematic-to-isotropic transition temperature or on any other obvious parameter. Keywords
