Abstract
The (p, alpha ) reaction on 130Te has been investigated at a proton bombarding energy of 35.2 MeV. Angular distributions of alpha particles have been measured over a limited angular range for states up to 3.2 MeV excitation in 127Sb and have been compared with DWBA calculations. A microscopic formulation of the three-nucleon transfer reaction has been employed in the calculations, together with Sb wavefunctions from a particle-core coupling model. Good agreement between theory and experiment is obtained for several states; disagreement for others is most probably attributable to neglect of some components of the collective neutron excitations. Keywords
