System Analysis of Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Abstract
Details about many aspects of sensori-neural hearing loss are known, but in isolation and unconnected so that it is not known how the system works. The many fragments of information must be brought together from a large field of knowledge and studied as to how they are linked and how they influence each other. This should lead to better understanding of the nature of high frequency hearing loss, causation of many types of sensori-neural hearing loss, of tinnitus, of the effects of deafness on the individual and to better remedial measures. It should be possible to build models of various systems but the first step must be a generation of new hypothetical concepts about various aspects of sensori-neural hearing loss. New methods of research are required.
