Abstract
The requirements of a highly toxigenic strain of Clostridium tetani were investigated under the conditions necessary for good toxin production. A formula was devised in which beef heart infusion is reduced to a fairly low level and replaced by a few known vits. and accessories. It has not yet been possible to achieve max. levels of toxin production in the complete absence of infusion. Keywords
