Abstract
The efficacy of orally administered ivermectin against Sarcoptes scabiei was investigated in pigs harbouring experimentally induced infections. Treatment at dosage rates of 300 and 500 microgram per kg body-weight provided 100% control as assessed by mite populations and clinical signs, while at a dose rate of 180 microgram per kg mite populations were substantially reduced but not eliminated. Keywords
