Abstract
Medication errors that occur on a pediatric medical/surgical inpatient care unit are usually avoidable. Several steps are recommended to reduce these errors, beginning with the physician and including every member of the health care team. Pediatricians should help hospitals develop effective programs for safely providing treatment with medications to hospitalized children. Keywords
