Abstract
Measurements in a highly ionized plasma of anomalously large absorption and the threshold field required for its onset are presented as a function of plasma density for conditions free of electron inelastic effects. In the weak-field limit the measured absorption is in good agreement with the classical theory for the high-frequency resistivity. Keywords
