Abstract
The complex spin system given by diethylaminotelluriumpentafluoride is studied by 1H-{19F}, 1H-{125Te} and 19F-{125Te} double resonance techniques. The signs of the coupling constants are related to the positive vicinal H … H coupling of the ethyl groups, and 1K(Te-F) is found to be negative in agreement with qualitative theoretical expectations. The geminal F-F coupling is negative, and it is suggested that the one-bond reduced coupling constants between F and Sb, Se, and S, are also negative in the species MF6.Keywords
