Abstract
This article describes a study of the relationship between mini‐mental state examination (MMSE) scores and Katz ADL scores among dementia patients. A convenience sample of 37 dementia patients with no other disabling diagnosis—such as Parkinson's or cerebrovascular accident—was used. The results of the study established a negative correlation between mini‐mental state examination scores and Katz Index scores. Keywords
