Abstract
A detailed spectroscopic study of resonant states in the continuum of lithiumlike carbon has been performed utilizing dielectronic recombination at an ion storage ring. All observed resonances have been identified and energies have been determined with an accuracy better than 0.1 eV. The measurements have been complemented by accurate calculations using the saddle-point technique. Every resonance of the type has been determined for n=2, =2,3).
