Abstract
Two species oï section Scorpioides Benth. et Hook, of the genus Coronilla were investigated for coumarins and cardenolides. In both the same constituents were found. Five cardenolides (corotoxigenin, frugosid, glucocorotoxigenin, scorpioside, and coronillobioside) and four coumarins (psoralene, daphnoretin, scopoletin and umbelliferon) were isolated from Coronilla repanda and Coronilla scorpioides. These phytochemical results coincide well with the classification proposed by Bentham and Hooker. Keywords
