Abstract
Blood uric acid values were related to cholesterol and beta/alpha lipoprotein ratio. A remarkable statistical significance was found in relating cholesterol and uric acid serum levels of all normal subjects under observation. This relation was less in women than in men. Direct connection was observed between uric acid beta/alpha lipoprotein ratio in the male population. In atherosclerotic subjects, a statistically significant correlation was discovered between uric acid levels and beta/alpha lipoprotein ratio.
