Abstract
Laser Raman spectra of aqueous solutions of lithium, potassium, and caesium oxalates have been obtained; their band contours were examined by curve analysis. The intensities of several bands show distinct concentration and cation dependences. This behavior is connected with the ion-pair formation of oxalate ions with alkali metal cations. The assignments of C=O stretching vibrations are also discussed. Keywords
