Abstract
Mucoid impaction of the bronchi is a syndrome occurring almost exclusively in asthmatics. These patients secrete a peculiarly viscid mucus, inspissation of which leads to bronchial occlusion and atelectasis, followed in some cases by suppuration and bronchiectasis. The radiological features are described and three illustrative cases are reported. Keywords
