Applied symbolic dynamics for the Lorenz-like map

Abstract
By means of the kneading theory, the Lorenz-like map is studied based on admissibility conditions. A criterion for the existence of chaos is derived. The Farey transformation and a subzone of the nonchaotic region are discussed.Keywords
