Abstract
Structures have been established for three new diterpenes, 16,8-(-)-kaurane-3α,16,17,19-tetrol (XVII), 16β-( -)-kaurane-3α,l6,19-trio1 (XXIII), and 16β-(-)-kaurane-3α,l6,17-trio1 (111), which have been obtained from B. latifolia, the latter pair as diacetates. Two known flavones have also been isolated from the ether extract.
