Abstract
The effect of recoil on the mobilities of impurities in liquid 4He is investigated by using the Van Hove scattering function. The recoil of ions from ion-roton scattering gives a weak dependence of the mobility on the effective mass of the ion. The diffusion coefficient of 3He is also calculated for dilute solutions of 3He in liquid 4He.Keywords
