Abstract
Starch gel electrophoresis was used to survey genetic variation of proteins from the blood and livers of 10 martens, Martes americana, captured in Wyoming. Twenty-four gene loci were surveyed, and genetic variation was detected at 33% of the loci. Average heterozygosity was estimated to be 17%. These values are above previously reported averages for terrestrial carnivores. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
