Some Factors Influencing Platelet Retention in Glass Bead Columns Including the Influence of Plastics

Abstract
Several variables affecting tests of platelet retention in glass bead columns have been examined, with particular emphasis on the effect of the type of plastic used to make the column. The observations suggest that the high platelet retention found in normal persons may be due to some substance dissolved out of polyvinyl tubing.
