Abstract
Cyclotron resonance measurements on a single crystal of LaSb have been performed in the temperature range from 1.7 to 40 K and at the frequency range from 50 to 110 GHz to obtain the cyclotron effective mass of the carriers at the Fermi level. From analyzing the angular dependence of m CR * , the cyclotron resonance is originated from the electron Fermi surface with an ellipsoidal shape (α-branch), and m CR * varies from 0.27±0.03 m 0 to 0.51±0.05 m 0 . This obtained m CR * is about two times larger than m QO * estimated from acoustic dHvA and band calculation. Keywords
