Abstract
The transcription factor E2F and its partner Dp1 play an important role in the control of cell cycle progression. This article provides important novel information on the in vivo role of Dp1, suggesting that it is essential for extra-embryonic development. Yamasaki's team has inactivated the Dp1 locus in mice using homologous recombination and found that Dp1 deficiency results in embryonic lethality prior to 12.5 days of gestation...Keywords
