Abstract
There is considerable interest in determining user patterns with respect to health services, especially among the elderly. The present research is concerned with determining the factors that are associated with knowledge levels regarding ancillary health services available to the elderly. A survey study of noninstitutionalized senior Canadians reveals that predisposing factors such as age and health status are less associated with what the elderly know of relevant health services than are enabling factors such as education and prior health service use. The implications of these findings are discussed. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
