Abstract
Stepwise delimited peripheral arcuate relaxing incisions were performed on ten human cadaver eyes, using a 10-mm optical 2one with 60° and 90° arcs. Initial 2-mm radial incisions had no effect on curvature until connected to the arcuate incisions in a "bowtie" manner. With short delimiting radial cuts, 60° paired arcuate incisions induced 5.6 ± 1.62 diopters, and 90° cuts induced 9,3 ±2.95 diopters of astigmatism. With delimiting radiais extending 1 mm toward the central cornea, up to 12.15 ± 1.66 (60°) and 12.45 ± 3,19 (90°) diopters of astigmatism could be induced. There were minimal coupling ratio and preservation of the integrity of regular central corneal topography. Keywords
