Abstract
Awareness of the impact of cardiovascular disease on the late morbidity and mortality in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is increasing. Clinical events secondary to accelerated atherosclerosis have been documented in lupus cohorts across the globe. We review the history and epidemiology of cardiovascular disease in patients with SLE.Keywords
