Abstract
The complications of blood transfusion that currently deserve emphasis are reviewed. The hazards with regard to incidence, provocative factors, and preventive measures are described. The clinical manifestations of hemolysis are discussed in relation to the various hemolytic mechanisms involved. The investigation of suspected hemolysis after transfusion is outlined. Keywords
