Connection Between Electroproduction and Annihilation

Abstract
It is shown why the ladder-graph model is special in allowing analytic continuation of the deep-inelastic electroproduction structure functions to describe annihilation. It is also explained why this property cannot be expected to hold for more complicated graphs that also contribute in the Bjorken limit.
