Abstract
Differences in disc electrophoretic banding patterns were detected among progeny from each of six selected lines of cultivated Coffea arabica L. These protein and isozyme differences are interpreted as evidence of heterozygosity in the parent trees from which the progeny were derived. Possible explanations for the presence of heterozygosity in genetically selected lines of self-pollinating C. arabica are presented. Data are presented which indicate that a phenotypically plastic protein was probably detected. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
