Abstract
A system has been developed to calculate and plot the radiation fields produced by radium needle implants. An IBM 7094 computer system is used to perform the necessary calculations and a Calcomp Digital Incremental Plotter is used to place the data in graphic form. A program was written which uses the four Sievert Integrals to calculate and permanently store on magnetic tape the data describing the radiation fields around the various single needles in our stock. A second program utilizes these precalculated tables to compute and plot the radiation fields around radium implants. The system is versatile enough to allow for the computation and plotting of the radiation fields on any planes in any position in the vicinity of a radium implant. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
