Abstract
The nature of the Friedel oscillations in the screening charge about a point impurity in a metal in a magnetic field is examined for weak and moderate field strengths. This extends a calculation by Rensink, who examined the extreme quantum limit. It is found that field-dependent effects might be barely detectable in semimetals with available magnets. Keywords
