Abstract
A lattice arrangement of G.M. counters has been used to measure the size spectrum of showers containing 3 × 106−3 × 108 particles. In this region, a power law distribution is found J ( N)=9.5 × 10−5(106/N)1.88±0.15 m−2 hr−1 ster−1. An independent method of measuring the number of particles in the showers gave good agreement with these figures.Keywords
