Abstract
Magneto-optically recorded loops are analysed with recourse to magnetostatic theory to give measurements of MS and wall energy γ for orthoferrite crystal slices and epitaxially grown modified YIG films. Measurements of coercivity are also obtained, and the spatial variation of the properties of LPE films is investigated. Brief results on the temperature dependence of MS and γ are given. Keywords
