Abstract
The supplementation of a vitamin B12 concentrate (A.P.F. No. 3) to an all plant-protein calf starter was without effect on the growth of calves to 90 days of age when weaned from milk at 28 days of age. Weekly intra-muscular injections of crystalline vitamin B12 (total of 1 mg.) to one calf after weaning from milk also was of no value. There was no difference in feed efficiency or incidence of scours whether or not A.P.F. was fed. Copyright © . .Keywords
