Abstract
Results of calculations based on the Tobocman theory are presented for the angular distribution of the outgoing protons produced by the stripping reaction in which the residual nucleus is left either in the ground state or in the first excited state, and for incident energies well below the Coulomb barrier. A variety of nuclear models are examined, including the optical model, and the theoretical distributions compared with experimental ones.
