Abstract
Several models that can be used to optimally size water distribution pipes were applied to a hypothetical system. The results are summarized in this paper. The models produced solutions with costs that were within 10% of one another, although the solutions were quite different. While the models were helpful in sizing pipes, some manual calculations and a good deal of engineering judgment were required to apply them. Keywords
