Abstract
Injection of cortical adrenal extract (cortin, Hartman) for 2 mos., beginning at 5 mos. of age, stimulated the ovaries of Rana sylyatica tadpoles. Nine hypophysectomized rats injected twice daily with cortin, 0.5-2.0 cc. per dose, were partially relieved of asthenia and hypothermia and partially restored to normal spontaneous activity. There was no apparent reparation of the atrophic thyroid, gonads or adrenals. Growth was unaffected. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
