Abstract
Seven cases of subaortic stenosis are recorded. In none of them was there idiopathic muscular hypertrophy. In all cases the obstruction was caused either by a fibrous ring or a membranous or cushion-like pseudovalve. Accurate pre-operative diagnosis was achieved in 6 of the 7 cases. Keywords
