Abstract
This article describes the typology of negative responses in a medical student sex education seminar. Seventy medical students were observed during participation in sex education seminars during a seven month period. Their behavior in class was generally appropriate. Negative responses sometimes did occur, however. These were manifested more frequently in men than in women students and were characterized by hostility or withdrawal in males, and subgroup formation in females. Keywords
