Electron Capture Detection and Measurement of Fluothane (Halothane) in Blood

Abstract

A method is described for determination of fluothane (halothane) in blood. The anesthetic was extracted from a 30 to 50 µl sample of blood with benzene and subsequently detected and measured by means of an electron capture detector. A clinical application is reported.
