Abstract
CT and MRI are both effective in the diagnosis of ankle tendon injuries. MRI is the preferred study, however, because of its superior soft tissue contrast resolution, multiplanar capabilities, lack of beam hardening artifacts, and lack of ionizing radiation. CT can serve as an excellent substitute when financial considerations and availability preclude the use of MRI. CT is also superior in evaluating bony abnormalities associated with tendon injuries. Keywords
