Abstract
A new method of fast-timing measurements using β-γ-γ coincidences with and plastic detectors has been used to measure a number of lifetimes for low-lying states in ,118,120Cd in the range of 10–100 ps. The results are discussed in terms of the vibrational and intruder structure of these nuclei.
