Abstract
The endomycorrhizal status of 11 species of Oidiodendron has been verified under axenic growing conditions. Characteristic hyphal coils of ericoid mycorrhiza developed inside root cortical cells of blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium Ait.) seedlings when these were inoculated with five of the tested species. These species are, in order of their endomycorrhizal potential, O. periconioides, O. scytaloides, O. chlamydosporicum, O. citrinum, and O. flavum. The present survey increases to 10 the number of Oidiodendron species or their associated teleomorphs known to produce ericoid mycorrhiza. Key words: Oidiodendron spp., O. periconioides, O. scytaloides, Ericoid mycorrhizae. Keywords
