Abstract
An explicit form of the source of the pseudoscalar meson field, consistent with the hypothesis of partially conserved axial-vector current, is proposed. By means of it the pseudoscalar-meson—baryon -wave scattering lengths are calculated. A close connection between the equal-time commutators of currents and the subtraction constants in dispersion relations of amplitudes is shown to exist.
