Abstract
This essay analyzes motivational factors which influence managers from business and industry in their selection and attendance in management development programs. A multi-phasic motivational paradigm is generated. The paradigm relates the motivational forces evolving from a person's basic drives, job-related knowledge needs, and dynamic motivation in an ultimate educative situation. Keywords
