Abstract
An overview of the effort of nursing in translation research begins with studies in research utilization. Delineation of issues in the uptake of evidence using guidelines and systematic reviews is discussed next. The federal initiatives in translation research are described with a focus on the Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP) studies. The article closes with future directions.Keywords
