Abstract
PEDIATRIC ISCHEMIC stroke is increasingly recognized as an important disease1-3 but is still likely underdiagnosed. This is particularly true for sinovenous thrombosis (SVT). Clinically unsuspected SVT has been found in neonates with asphyxia,4,5 lethargy,6 or seizures7 and in 25% of children with pseudotumor cerebri undergoing angiography.8 No systematic studies evaluating potential therapies in pediatric SVT have been published, to our knowledge. Keywords
