Abstract
There is a great demand for wireless devices that allow users to freely roam and still access their on-line information. As wireless networking technologies continue to develop, the access to multimedia data such as video will continue to become more viable. Limited bandwidth is a problem when wireless devices are used for video transmission and limited power necessitates power efficient mechanisms. We propose a single retransmission based forward error correction (FEC) scheme that increases the video quality of the video, has efficient power consumption, and performs better in a highly dynamic wireless networks. Keywords
