CALCIFICATION OF THE MYOCARDIUM

Abstract
The principal cause of extensive calcification of the myocardium is coronary thrombosis. This may be diagnosed roentgenologically, care being taken to exclude calcification of the pericardium. A case with necropsy illustrating this is described. A circular area of the wall of the left ventricle about 8 cm. in diam. was calcified.
