Abstract
The analysis of the angular distribution of the protons from the reactions revealed forty-six levels in and four levels in , previously unreported, and the values and absolute differential cross sections for fifty groups to levels in and for seven groups to levels in . The discussion which is given in terms of the shell model resulted in the following spin assignments: The 0.789-MeV state in has , and the 1.163-MeV state has probably . The spins of the levels at 0.671, 0.761, and 1.309 MeV in are , , and , respectively. The observed values of the single-particle reduced width for the different subshells agree quite well with the values given by Macfarlane and French for other nuclei.
