A computer method for biorhythm evaluation and analysis

Abstract
Three computer programs, based on Fourier transformation, were developed to evaluate and analyze biorhythm data. The first program provides information about the general characteristics of a rhythm in terms of amplitude, phase, and other factors. The second program sums the factors causing a change in rhythm shape and gives a quantitative value to describe it. The third program measures the period length from peak to peak and from trough to trough. Relative food intake data from 24 Sprague‐Dawley rats during four consecutive days were used to verify these programs.Keywords
